Shopping for Discount
If you're not a regular internet user you might be someone that simply logs on to order groceries because it's convenient and you'll save money (isn't it far too tempting walking down the biscuit isle?!).

There are plenty of ways to save even more money on your online shopping and that's why I've written this quick article - so you can learn how to save more money on your shopping, leaving room to spend more on luxuries (or save, we prefer to spend it!).

Discount and Promotional Codes

Discount codes can be used for so many retailers, yet all too often we just log on, find the item we (so desperately) want - be it the latest Schuh exclusive or that sought after holiday in Center Parcs, and still so many people don't know about it.

Discount, or promotional codes, give us a reduction in the 'recommended retail price', or RRP. This is simply the advertised price, and while too many of us still can't negotiate a price down with a spotty salesperson, a little-known discount code can be used online to order goods with a very healthy discount.

Quids In

Lets face it, even getting a couple of quid off an every day purchase can mean more cash in your pocket. Of course, you can join cashback sites that give, you guessed it, money back but promo codes are a superb way of feeling like you've beat the big businesses.

It's not all about beating someone but it's about feeling good. If I mention the buzz you get when you bring new clothes home from the local shopping centre, only to get a guilt-trip when you actually think about how much you just spent - it hurts (or at least to most of us that aren't on a par with Coleen or Posh) - so it's a fab feeling to save a bit of moolah.

Just remember though, you're not 'saving' money' online - you probably weren't going to buy that clutch or those Patrick Cox shoes anyway - but doesn't that all-to-familiar cliche go 'every little helps'?

Where Can I Find Discount Codes?

There are websites out there that are dedicated to finding discount and voucher codes and listing them for all to see, easy to find if you know how or you can read on...

You could have a look at my site, it's a simple and small site but it's updated almost every two days and I cherish the companies that I add to it - you can find the promo codes page at www.retrobloom.co.uk/discount_codes.htm.

For the most comprehensive of discount codes, here's a list of UK based companies with the latest voucher codes listed:

VoucherCodes.com - They have newsletters, forums and list all of the latest discount codes they can get hold of.

ShoppingCodes.co.uk - Featuring (in my opinion) wonderful companies like Blooming Marvellous, Harrods, and Crocus the site is easy to use and promises to update shopping codes daily.

Good luck with your shopping and have a go at this - if you can buy it online instead of a shop, do it - but search for discount first, try and get everything cheaper than advertised. And lastly, tell me about it!
